Bridgeport Art Center’s 7th Annual Art Competition

The 7th ANNUAL ART COMPETITION at the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago took place from March 15 through May 3, 2019. I am pleased to say my drawing, “Fossilzed Whelks” was accepted. Jurors Stano Grezdo and Joyce Owens selected sixty contemporary works from entries that came from Chicagoland area artists. With so many talents, the curator Lelde Kalmite hung the show to the best advantage of each artwork.

The Bridgeport Art Center is a huge, converted warehouse that has 6 levels of artist studios along with a couple exhibition spaces. It is a great destination to plan an evening visit to explore the work of talented artists.
