The Start
Every FREEDOM digital print I create starts with an original, hand-drawn artwork. After photographing my drawings, I bring them into Photoshop, where the real magic begins. I usually select a drawing from the Revealed Faith Series to serve as my backdrop. Then I hunt for one or more images from the Bicycle Dynamism series to layer over it, carefully choosing those with colors that will enhance and complement the background.
What happens next
Once I’ve chosen and imported the images, I experiment with their arrangement, considering the best orientation for both the background and each new layer. Each selected piece becomes its own layer, and that’s where the creative play truly takes off. I’ll often cut away parts of these layers, strategically revealing the artwork beneath for a sense of depth and interaction.

Building a multi-colored print
With my printmaking background, the whole process feels a lot like building a multicolored print. Each digital layer functions like a separate plate, adding its own tone, shape, and energy as the final proof comes together, and it becomes the “Bon á Tirer”.
The process
My process is fluid and dynamic: I rotate layers, adjust hues, snip and rearrange cutouts, and duplicate key elements to maintain visual balance. Shifting layers up or down is all part of the search for the perfect composition. There’s a sense of controlled chaos as I juggle all these moving parts, tweaking each until it feels just right.

What I love the most
What I love most about working digitally is the FREEDOM to take risks. If something doesn’t work, a simple delete erases the mistake, protecting everything else I’ve built. Unlike traditional art, where one misstep can be final, the digital format encourages fearless creativity and endless possibilities.
